“O Zion, messenger of good news, shout from the mountaintops! Shout it louder, O Jerusalem. Shout, and do not be afraid. Tell the towns of Judah, ‘Your God is coming!’  Isaiah 40:9

GOD IS LOVE

“Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.  But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is Love.” 1 John 4:7-8

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” 1 John 4:16

There are other verses in the Bible that speak about the love of God and God being Love, but let’s settle with these two. Having established that God is Love, imagine being loved by Love Himself. I know, this is mind-blowing, but it is the reality. “Love” loves us! You can pick anyone in your life who loves you the best.  Multiply that love to infinity, and then you get God’s kind of love. No one can ever love you as God does. His love is immense, incomparable and unfathomable. Yet people prefer to seek man’s approval and love but reject the greatest love of all. But God being Love, is patient and kind. (1 Corinthians 13:4a)

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17
Sadly, so many throughout the centuries, have rejected Jesus the Son of God. The hatred of Him has gotten even worse, in these end times, we’re living in now. As it is said in John 1:10-11

“He came into the very world He created, but the world didn’t recognize him.  He came to his own people, and even they rejected him”.

Still now, God continues to pursue the world, inviting it to come back to Him. This is a golden opportunity, during this small window of time, for people to accept the love of Christ, because only through Him, can they become children of God and be spared of His wrath to come.

“There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.  And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.  But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.  John 3:18-21

Again, I will say: “God is Love” but, I will add that He is not just Love, He is also Holy.

“No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God”. 1 Samuel 2:2

Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew.  They were calling out to each other,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!
The whole earth is filled with his glory!” Isaiah 6:2-3

Being a Holy God, He is pure, perfect, hallowed, and sacred. He is far above any human goodness and righteousness. And because of this, He cannot tolerate sin, especially deliberate sin.  In his patience and mercy, He has been relenting to judge the sin of mankind.

But the God of Heaven’s Armies is not just Love and Holy; He is Just as well.

I said to myself, “In due season God will judge everyone, both good and bad, for all their deeds.” Ecclesiastes 3:17 NLT

For we know the one who said, “I will take revenge. I will pay them back.” He also said, “The LORD will judge his own people.” Hebrews 10:30 NLT

“For I, the Lord, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them. Isaiah 61:8 NLT

In His judgments, God will reward the righteous and punish the wicked. His wrath is coming on all who reject Him and offend Him daily with the most despicable sins one can imagine.

Now is the time for Him to settle accounts with mankind.

Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand! Matthew 11:15 NLT

Therefore, evil doers should turn away from their wicked ways and seek God’s forgiveness before it’s too late.  Today is the day to come to Him while there’s still time. He is sending you one more invitation; who knows if it is the last you will get.

Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God! Fill in the valleys, and level the mountains and hills. Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places. Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together.  The Lord has spoken!” Isaiah 40:3-5 NLT

Sample of a salvation prayer

In this moment, Lord, I acknowledge that I have done so many things that were not pleasing to you throughout my life. I have sinned against you by the words of my mouth, the actions I committed both in the open and in secret and even the thoughts I entertained. I am deeply sorry for all of it, and I don’t want to continue on this path anymore. Today, I reject my former lifestyle. So, I pray that you may have mercy on me and forgive all my evil deeds. I believe that Jesus died for me on the cross and He is the only way to Heaven. I surrender to Him as my Savior and Master. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit and empower me to live the righteous life that you have planned for me long ago. Help me to follow you in good and bad times, even to my last breath. I also thank you, Father, for adopting me into your family and making me clean, righteous, and free. Praise be to your Holy name forever, in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
