It was Sunday afternoon, July 21st, 2024. I was taking a nap on a couch when I had the following dream: I saw myself standing in a large room that looked like the lobby of a building. In the back, there was something that initially had the appearance of a big cabinet but was actually a pantry. It had a door divided in the middle into two equal parts, one on top and the other at the bottom.
I opened the top part to check the amount of food in it, and though it wasn’t full, it was practically well stocked. While I was looking at it, I was suddenly surrounded by a swarm of insects of different sizes. They could range from a house fly size to a butterfly. They were loudly buzzing, and I tried to swat them away but without success. Then, I perceived in the corner of my eyes that a woman was standing nearby, on my left. She was wearing a beautiful royal blue velvet gown and looked like someone from a past era because of the outdated style of her dress. I called her to help me out.
She came quickly and since the insects started to fly into the pantry, she helped me close the door to contain them. At least that would give me time to figure out how to destroy them. Later on, I went back to check on the situation. In the dream, it felt like it’s been a few hours since the encounter.
I slowly opened the top door just enough to peek and see what these pests were doing. Surprisingly, there was no trace of them. It was silent in there. So, I opened the whole door and got in. Quickly, I realized that both the insects and the supplies were gone. The shelves in the pantry were simply empty. All the food had vanished, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I was shocked, confused, and, in disbelief. And this is the sentiment I woke up with.
Once my eyes were open I wondered what happened there. Right away, I got the understanding that it was another dream of a famine to come. I had many dreams in the past few years about food scarcity and the first one was in December 2019, just 2 months before the pandemic hit the USA. I saw people in long lines in front of Walmart but inside, people were fighting for food. I heard someone say: “There is a famine in America”. So, in 2020, when we experienced food and other supplies shortages, I thought maybe that was it. But then, even after everything seemed to go back to normal I still had other dreams of the same nature, including the one reported in this post.
I am not obsessed with famine, and I wasn’t thinking about the subject before the dreams happened. I believe that they are God’s mercy, warning me and others of a coming famine in America. I know, it sounds like an oxymoron to put America and famine together, particularly since this country is known as a Land of Abundance. But it’s up to you to take heed or not.
I believe that someday in the future, famine will be prevalent around the world and yes even in America. It will be triggered by insects that will destroy the crops in this country. They will be helped by the effects of extreme drought alternated by astonishing flood events, worse than the ones that happened in 2024. I am adding those two elements because they were part of the visions I had in recent years. I also suppose unusual freezing temperatures and violent Summer storms could lead to further crop destruction as seen in the past.
Abundance will leave America. As in Margaret Mitchell’s novel, “Gone with the Wind”, where the South experienced destruction and diminished abundance because of the Civil War, in the coming time, America’s wealth will depart from her. Abundance will be “Gone with the Wings”: the wings of the ravenous insects that will devour food production like they have not eaten for a very long time.
I don’t know when these things will happen but what I know for sure is that we are being warned. Remember, “a warned man is worth two”. So, what’s a man to do? Seek the Lord for yourself and draw close to Him. He is the One who can sustain you through anything: war, famine, pestilence and natural disasters, etc. He can give you food in perilous times, and you need to surrender your life to Him and trust Him. But most of all, everyone needs to repent for themselves, their families, and the country for its wickedness. Doing so, doesn’t mean that the danger will be averted but that God will see you through it by His grace. There are some things that you can’t pray away because they are meant to happen. Famine is part of God’s coming wrath, but if you are a real servant of the Lord, it will be well with you. Whether you live or die, you will be well.
